Our Team

Elizabeth T. Stefanide, Esquire

Mrs. Stefanide has been concentrating her practice in the areas of elder law, guardianships, and estate planning and administration since 1999. She has a sub-specialty in the litigation aspects of the afore-mentioned arenas. Previously, Beth was an Assistant District Attorney in Delaware County for six years where she handled major felony criminal prosecutions and retired as the Supervisor of the Juvenile Division. She has given seminars on a variety of topics associated with both areas of practice for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and other professional and community associations. She is a member of the Pennsylvania and the Delaware County Bar Associations (“DCBA”). She served in a variety of positions at DCBA including President of the Young Lawyer's Division and Board Member. She received a B.A. from Villanova University and J.D. from Widener University School of Law, where she was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society. She has also served on the Board of the Delaware County Women's Commission and the Rocky Run YMCA. Beth has been recognized multiple times by Main Line Today Magazine as a Top Elder Law Attorney in the Philadelphia Western Suburbs and the Delaware County Daily Times as a Top Elder Law Attorney, as well as 2019 Philadelphia Super Lawyers.

Jacquelyn S. Goffney, Esquire

Ms. Goffney has been practicing law since 2006. She is a graduate of Lafayette College and Widener University, Delaware Law School. Ms. Goffney concentrates her practice in the areas of elder law, guardianship, estate planning and estate administration. Previously Ms. Goffney was a law clerk for the Honorable Robert C. Wright. She honed her litigation skills as a Delaware County Assistant District Attorney. Ms. Goffney is a member of the Delaware County Bar Association. She has taught numerous CLE classes in Delaware County related to guardianship law and the practicality of the role of a guardian. Ms. Goffney is the Vice-President of the Middletown Township Zoning Hearing Board. She also acts as Solicitor for the Aston Township Zoning Hearing Board.


Mary K. Kennedy, Esquire

Mrs. Kennedy is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She holds a J.D. from Temple University School of Law, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Temple University. She served as a staff attorney at Legal Aid of Southeastern Pennsylvania from 2003 to 2013, where she practiced in the areas of Elder Law, Landlord-Tenant, and Public Benefits. Mary is a member of the Parents' Committee of Boy Scout Troop 33 of Pilesgrove Township, New Jersey. She also has also served as a judicial volunteer for the Superior Court of New Jersey, Vicinage XV, serving on the Salem County Child Placement Review Board, and as a volunteer for Special Olympics of Delaware in the ice skating program.

Karen Phillips, Administrative Assistant

Mrs. Phillips is a legal and administrative assistant. She graduated with an Associate’s degree in Special Business from Keystone Business School and has over 32 years of office experience. She plays an integral role in the daily operation of the firm, including overall office administration. Karen may also assist clients with general questions about guardianships, Estate Planning documents and administration, billing and appointments.

She plays an integral role in the daily operation of the firm, including overall office administration. Cindy also may assist clients with general questions about estate planning documents and estate administration, and scheduling appointments.

Kristin's intuition and work ethic lend to prioritizing the task at hand. She is a valued communicator with our clients, and demonstrates sincere caring and compassion for them. One of Kristin's passions is supporting and finding new homes for rescue dogs.
